Greenhills became home to my family in 1976, when we moved to Chalmers Lane. Over the years, I raised my boys here, welcomed new young families as a landlord, coached youth soccer, and volunteered at church. But over time, I watched our once-vibrant community and shopping center lose their vitality.
Even worse, I saw Village leaders push forward with plans to demolish historic parts of our neighborhood—plans that ignored the voices and concerns of long-time residents.
That’s why I first ran for Council in 2007. After years of digging through public records, attending countless Council meetings, and speaking up for my neighbors, I saw clearly how disconnected our local government had become. Too often, Council refuses to listen, much less be held accountable.
I’m running again to be the people’s voice—a voice that speaks up, asks the tough questions, and fights for a better, revitalized Greenhills. It’s time to restore pride, transparency, and common sense to our Village government.
